LANDING BEDDING LAYERS - ASSEMBLING GUIDE
The image indicates the items of the layered bedding along with color coded indication of the washable and non-washable items. The Green colored items are to be washed at every turnover. The Pink items are NOT to be washed at turnovers. The K1, K2, Q1, Q2 etc. indicate the sizing category of King/Queen along with the numbers that indicate the order of assembly of the items onto the bed. The new bedding development would be inclusive of all the above elements of identification.
MATTRESS PROTECTOR
At install, movers should be on site to help with getting the mattress protector onto the mattress
Ensure to encase the entire mattress within the protector and enclose the zipper within the velcro flap.
Mattress protector should not be washed at turnover
Product development in progress for an easier slip on version of the mattress protector.
If the mattress protector is missing, please leave the bedding folded on the mattress.
FITTED SHEET
Identify the shortest sides of the sheet - these will align with the footboard and headboard sides of the mattress.
A tag is present to identify the footboard side of the sheet
Ensure all edges of the fitted sheet are tucked around and under the mattress appropriately
FLAT SHEET
Identify the shortest sides of the sheet - these will align with the footboard and headboard sides of the mattress.
A tag is present to identify the footboard side of the sheet
Note: The Landing flat sheet is longer than normal flat sheets in order to execute a proper foot tuck (see below).
HOW TO EXECUTE A FOOT TUCK:
STEP 1: Start at the top of the bed. Align the flat sheet to touch the headboard. Fold the top of the flat sheet down about 1 foot away from the headboard. Roughly check the measurement measure using your elbow to wrist length.
At the foot of the bed, straighten out the flat sheet to ensure there are no wrinkles. Ensure the fold at the head of the bed remains intact.
STEP 2: Grab the foot of the flat sheet and fold it over the top side of the mattress, the edge of the flat sheet should align with the bottom of the mattress.
Be sure to flatten the fold on top of the mattresses with your hand to achieve a seamless, flat fold.
STEP 3: ONLY fold and tuck in the corners and sides of the flat sheet under the mattress, leave the foot of the flat sheet loose aligning neatly with the bottom of the mattress.
COTTON BLANKET
Cotton bed blanket should NOT be placed on the bed
Fold blanket and place within the homes closet/wardrobe space
Cotton Blanket to be folded and stored in the closet within the home
DUVET COVER AND DOWN COMFORTER
Before placing on the bed, the duvet and comforter should be assembled as follows:
Step 2: Match the corners of the down comforter with the corners of the duvet insert. Gather the volume of the duvet cover to ensure the down comforter is in place.
Step 3: Tuck in the down comforter within the duvet cover and pull out to bring to the right side in order to ensure it is all in place and wiggle to straighten the two layers in place
Step 4: Ensure to have the duvet cover folded at the top of the bed right below the folded flat sheet. Ensure to flatten out with hand and have an even measured fold and let the duvet cover overflow at the foot of the bed making a triangular fold
Duvet insert should not be washed at turnover. Spot clean only.
PILLOWS, PILLOW PROTECTORS AND PILLOWCASES
Step 1: Grab a pillow protector. Open the zipper and insert the tag side of the pillow insert into the pillow protector. Ensure all corners are tucked correctly and zip back up
Step 2 & Step 3: Ensure the pillow case encases completely with a longer than usual open side. Fold over the excess pillow case to make a crease
Step 4 & Step 5: Tuck one flap of the open ended pillow case between the pillow insert and the case, pull up the two pointed flaps like an envelop and tuck them in too to create a neat fold. Do the same for all 4 pillow inserts
Step 6: Make sure to stack up the pillow cased pillow inserts with their tucked in flap sides towards the inside of the bed and NOT facing away from the sides of the bed
Ideally, the pillows with the checkered pattern (firm fill) on them must stay at the back and the pillows with the zig-zag stitch (lenient fill) must stay in the front when lined up against the head board
And voila! You have assembled the perfect Landing bed!
