Changing a Lockbox Code

Quick instructions for changing a lockbox code!

Securekey MasterLock 5401 (wall mounted):

5401D Lock Box | Master Lock

Or

These steps:

1- Open the lockbox.

2- Push the small metal flat reset lever to the side and up to where it stays.

3- Change the code.
4- Return the metal flat reset lever back to its original location.

MasterLock 5400 (most common):

5400D Lock Box | Master Lock

Or

These steps:

1- Open the lockbox.

2- Push the small metal flat reset lever to the side and up to where it stays.

3- Change the code.
4- Return the metal flat reset lever back to its original location.

MasterLock 5422 (push button mounted or portable):

5422D Portable Push Button Lock Box | Master Lock

Or

These steps:

1- Open the weather protection cover.

2- Press down on the clear button at the bottom

3- Press down on the open button.
4- On the back of the opened box, you'll see a yellow decoding tool.

5- Use that to turn the already active numbers and replace them with your own numbers for your code.

6- Return the yellow decoding tool to its original place.

7- Close the lockbox.

MasterLock 5420D (mounted or portable):

5420D Portable Lock Boxes | Master Lock

Or

These steps:

1- Open the weather cover.

2- Open the lockbox.

3- Use a pointed tool (pen screwdriver) to move up the set lever that's on the side.

4- Input your new code.

5- Close the lockbox.

1- Open the lockbox.
