Learn to tell your career story to stand out and land the job. Remember, this is your story and no-one elses, so let yourself shine!

Here's a tip sheet to record your story on Prosper:

  1. Find a quiet place to record your story where you won't be distracted.Β

  3. Try to keep your story to 2 minutes or less.
  4. Practice as much as you like and when you're ready, submit your story for feedback. You've got this!
  5. Grab a piece of paper and a pen and write out a few bullets. Try this structure:Β 

Headline: what is the one sentence that you will start with to grab the interviewer's attention?

Set the back-story: tell the interviewer about the background context of this story. Everyone loves a good back-story, it's the key to any character development!

Share the conflict: every story has a little conflict - this is why we gravitate towards good vs. evil - tension is essential in creating a compelling story. For example, what happened when you made that mistake?Β 

Close with a happy ending: take the interviewer on a journey from conflict to resolution. What did you do to resolve it? What were the resultsΒ
