Isla has integrated with the CanRisk web tool, allowing clinicians to assess patients' risk of developing certain cancers. The tool incorporates the new version of BODICEA(V6) (Breast and Ovarian Analysis of Disease Incidence and Carrier Estimation Algorithm), a comprehensive model that can be used to calculate the future risks of developing breast or ovarian cancer.
This is calculated using patient-submitted information regarding family history and lifestyle/hormonal risk factors, amongst a number of other inputs.
It can also be used to calculate the likelihood of carrying mutations in genes (BRCA1, BRCA2, PALB2, ATM, CHEK2, BARD1, RAD51C and RAD51D).
