If you receive a link from Isla but you can't open it, it could be a number of issues:

  1. The link has been split up when it's been added to the text message.

    E.g:

    1. isla.care/abcde is a link that you can click and will be recognised by your phone as a link

    2. isla.care /abcde has a space in it, and so won't be recognised as a link

If your phone or browser isn't recognising the link is clickable, then check there aren't any spaces. If there are, just copy whole link, paste into the browser and then remove the space before submitting

  2. The link is invalid:

Isla creates much longer links and then compresses them to the links that you will see (isla.care/abcde). If the link is invalid (i.e it's been compressed but there is no mapping to a longer link, you will be redirected to the Isla website. If this is the case, check that the whole link has been selected when you've opened it

  3. The link is expired:

You may see the message below. This happens when you haven't completed the assessment within the allotted time provided by your clinical team for the link to remain active. You should get in touch with the Trust and they will be able to trigger a new link if still relevant.
