A CSV file is a simple text file that stores data in rows. It can be opened in programs like Excel or Google Sheets.

If an HL7 feed or direct integration with an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) isn’t available, Isla admins can still upload patient and appointment data using a CSV file. This is done through a standard CSV template, which you can download from the "Download CSV file" button on this page.

The template includes mandatory fields and optional fields which are subject to validations on formatting.

Mandatory fields

Optional fields

To upload patient data (with optional appointment data) to Isla, follow these steps (only available for users with admin permissions):

Steps:

  1. Download the CSV template from the "Import patient via a CSV file" page.

  2. Fill in the patient and appointment details following the required format.

  3. Upload the completed CSV file on the same page. Isla will check for any errors before importing.
