Before you can process your papers, you need to undergo a medical examination from DOH-accredited clinics to ensure that you are physically and mentally "fit to work" overseas.
This is also a requirement to process your Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC).
Some of the most common reasons for failing a medical examination are high blood pressure, elevated heart rate or blood sugar and some infections. Skip the anxiety and make sure to get a “fit to work” clearance on your first try following these tips:
Get at least 8 hours of good night's sleep for three (3) consecutive days.
Keep yourself hydrated.
Avoid strenuous exercise, coffee or any caffeinated products and salty foods before the examination.
Fast for 10-12 hours.
Schedule your medical exam 3-5 days after the last day of your menstruation to getting inaccurate results.
Maintain a healthy diet and active lifestyle to ensure best results!
