Transfers to VASPs Outside the Network

When you create a transfer to a VASP outside of our network, you'll see an optional field where you can enter their email address.

  • If this field is left blank, the Travel Rule transfer, once approved, will remain in your Outgoing – Waiting for Data folder with a "Pending Contact Information" status.

  • Once the email is provided, the transfer will be sent automatically. The counterparty VASP will receive a notification email containing a unique, secure link to access the Travel Rule data.

After verifying that the receiving blockchain address belongs to them, the counterparty can securely access the transfer in their browser. For security reasons, access to the transfer information expires 72 hours after the link is first opened.

In addition, you’ll now see a required field to enter the beneficiary VASP’s website. This step is intended to:

  • Prevent the creation of duplicate VASPs in the network by matching the website to an existing VASP profile.

  • Reduce transfers stuck in "Pending Contact Information" due to variations in VASP names that don't match existing entries exactly.
