When looking at transfers, in the “Transfers” tab, you will notice a column entitled “Category”, which reflects the transfer type in relation to the Travel Rule.

The categories available are presented below along with their meaning.

Below threshold

When the incoming transaction amount is below the Travel Rule threshold in your jurisdiction, it does not require a Travel Rule data transfer. It will, instead be saved in the dashboard to allow further monitoring.

Travel Rule

Transactions require a Travel Rule data transfer when the amount is equal to or above the Travel Rule threshold, and its blockchain address is from a custodial wallet (belongs to a counterparty VASP).

Unhosted

The blockchain address of this transaction belongs to an unhosted wallet. Depending on the jurisdiction, additional data on the counterparty customer may be required.

Unknown

The status of a transfer is unknown. If a Travel Rule data transfer is received for this transaction or if a blockchain analytics service updates its information and marks its wallet as custodial the status will change to ‘Travel Rule’.
