When sending funds to an unhosted wallet that you own, it is necessary to provide your wallet provider's details and include the beneficiary blockchain address for verification of wallet ownership. To reduce friction and enhance user experience, beneficiary proof is a one-time requirement for a specific address.

Discover a brief demonstration showcasing how to prove ownership of an Ethereum wallet using Metamask.

For a detailed, step-by-step guide, please proceed with the following instructions.

If you are using Metamask, please select "Web3Wallet". If you wish to use a different wallet but cannot identify it in the drop-down menu, kindly click "All Wallets" to reveal a comprehensive list of over 300 supported wallets.

After selecting Metamask and connecting to it, click on 'Sign message.'

The signature will appear in your wallet in the indicated form. Click 'Sign' once more to confirm ownership of the provided wallet address. Once the message has been successfully signed, you can continue with the usual flow and send the Travel Rule transfer.

It is important to note that when sending to self-hosted wallets, Notabene supports the following networks: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism.
