Vest Points is being updated

As of August 2026, Vest no longer charges a platform fee. Vest Points was built to waive that fee, so the program is entering a new phase: we're defining how points will work from here on.

Below is what's changing, what stays the same, and what's coming next:

  • Will I still be charged the platform fee?

No. As of August 2026 there is no platform fee: not on your stocks, and not on your dollar balance. Keeping your account open has no monthly cost. Other operational fees (withdrawals, conversions, and regulatory fees) stay the same, and you can review them anytime in the Fee Schedule.

  • When will the new rules be ready?

We don't have a date yet, and we'd rather tell you that than give you a timeline we can't stand behind. When the new program is ready, you'll hear about it in the app and by email, and this article will be updated.

  • What about Fully Paid Securities Lending (FPSL)?

It works exactly as before. It doesn't depend on Vest Points or the platform fee, so this update doesn't change anything there.

What's coming...

We're redesigning Vest Points from the ground up, with one simple idea: that your points make sense beyond a fee that no longer exists. We're still working on it, and when it's ready you'll see it in the app first.

In the meantime, it helps to know what you'd want from a program like this. If you have an idea for how you'd like to use your points, write to us at support@mivest.io.
