Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Vest Points

Updated over 2 weeks ago

What happens if I don't reach the necessary points?

If you have not reached the point goal by the end of the month, a small fee will be charged to you:

  • 1 to 99 points / 1 to 49 points (depending on your required total): $2 USD charge.

  • 0 points: $3 USD charge.

Does the Vest Points program replace the quarterly maintenance fee?

In a way, yes.

Vest currently has a Platform Fee that is charged monthly and replaces the old quarterly maintenance fee. With the Vest Points program, we offer a tool that allows you to avoid this fee through specific actions that benefit your investments, allow you to accumulate Vest Points when performing them, and thus achieve the exemption from this fee.

What is the Fully Paid Stock Lending (FPSL) program?

FPSL is an optional program that allows you to lend your fully paid shares to Vest. In return, Vest gives you a commission for that loan. It is a way to earn passive income on your stocks. [Link to FPSL article].

What happens if I am not eligible to participate in the Fully Paid Stock Lending Program (FPSL)?

If you request to join the FPSL program (opt-in) but do not meet the eligibility criteria (operational, regulatory, or risk), you will only need to accumulate 50 Vest Points each cycle. Vest may verify and revoke points if your eligibility changes or non-compliance is detected.

What happens if I refer several friends?

The points accumulate. If you invite 4 friends who fund their accounts, you will earn 200 Vest Points (4 x 50 points). You can use these to secure months with a $0 USD fee.

When will I be able to see my point balance in the app?

You can do so whenever you want in the new "Vest Points" section in the application, where you can monitor your balance, see the total points required for you, recommendations for earning more points, and your point history. You will also find your next billing date so you have all the information you need. Access it through your Profile in both the app and Vest Web.
