Why does my book cover say "Johnson Family" on it?

Short answer: This is completely normal — your book has not been changed.

What’s happening

The image you’re seeing is a template thumbnail, not a live preview of your actual book. Many of our template thumbnails use “Johnson Family” as a placeholder name to show what a cover could look like.

This placeholder text does not replace or affect your real book content. Similarly, if you check your orders under "My Orders" in your account and an order is called "Johnson Family Cookbook," it is just the generic name.

How to check your actual book cover

If you’d like to confirm what your book really looks like:

  1. Log in to your Heritage Cookbook account.

  2. Open your book and go to the CONTENT tab in your dashboard.

  3. View your cover there — this shows your real, saved design.

You can also download a Preview to see exactly how your book will print.

Good to know

  • Your family name and cover design are saved correctly.

  • Template thumbnails are just examples.

  • This does not impact printing or your final book.
