For best print quality, your photos should meet the following guidelines:
Photo requirements
File type: .jpg or .png
Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI (dots per inch)
File size: Ideally between 2.2 MB and 8 MB
Using high-resolution images helps ensure your photos print clearly and sharply in your finished book.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
My photo is sideways or upside down. How do I fix it?
Sometimes a device saves a photo with hidden orientation data (metadata). It may look correct on your device, but appear rotated after uploading.
To fix this:
Open the original image in Preview or a photo editing program.
Rotate the image 360 degrees (until it is upright again).
Save it as a new file.
Upload the new file to your cookbook.
This refreshes the image orientation and usually resolves the issue.
Can I make a color photo black and white in the program?
Yes.
To convert a photo to black and white:
Click on the image in your cookbook.
On the right-hand side, click Print in Black and White.
Your photo will update automatically.
Good to know
