Short answer: This is usually temporary — your photos are still there.
What’s happening
To keep the editor running smoothly, the system doesn’t always load every image right away. When this happens, you may see:
A blank space where a photo should be
A small trash can icon in the center of that space
This does not mean your photos were deleted.
Quick fix (most cases)
Refresh your browser page.
Wait a few seconds for the images to reload.
In most cases, the photos will reappear immediately.
If photos are missing from a Preview
If you download a Preview and the photos are missing:
Go back to your book editor.
Refresh your browser.
Download the Preview again.
This usually resolves the issue.
When to contact support:
If you’ve refreshed the page and re-downloaded the Preview and your photos are still missing, please contact us by clicking on the orange icon at the bottom right of your screen and typing "I'd like to speak to someone."
