The Max Daily Loss limit resets every day at 00:00 UTC.
How the Reset Works
At 00:00 UTC, your daily loss allowance is recalculated for the new trading day. The system looks at two values at the moment of reset:
Your account balance
Your equity
Whichever is higher is used as the starting point for calculating your new daily loss limit. The permitted loss percentage is then subtracted from that value to establish your floor for the day.
For a detailed breakdown of how this calculation works with examples, see the Max Daily Loss article in this Help Centre.
Why This Matters
Knowing exactly when the reset occurs is important for two reasons.
First, if you are holding positions overnight, your daily loss limit will be recalculated at 00:00 UTC while those trades are still open. The new limit is based on your equity at that moment, which includes any floating profit or loss on open positions.
Second, if you are approaching your daily loss limit late in a trading session, the reset at 00:00 UTC gives you a fresh allowance for the new day - but only if you have not already breached the limit before that point.
Plan your sessions and overnight positions with the 00:00 UTC reset in mind at all times.
