Buy Now Pay Later Model

Written by Hex Funded

The Hex Funded Buy Now Pay Later model gives traders the opportunity to start a challenge for just $10, with the remaining balance only due once the evaluation has been successfully passed. This model is designed for traders who want access to a funded account with minimal upfront commitment.

Key Features

  • Start your evaluation for just $10

  • Single-phase evaluation with a low 3% profit target

  • No Max Daily Loss during the evaluation phase

  • Activation Fee paid only after passing - never upfront

  • No time limit

  • Designed for traders who want a low-barrier entry into funded trading

How It Works

Purchase your BNPL challenge for $10 and begin trading immediately. Once you have met the profit target and passed the manual review, you will be required to pay the Activation Fee to unlock your funded account. Your funded account is issued once payment is confirmed.

Evaluation Phase Requirements

To pass the BNPL evaluation, you must meet the following objectives:

  • Profit Target: 3%

  • Minimum Trading Days during Evaluation: None

  • Max Daily Loss during Evaluation: None

  • All drawdown rules apply throughout the evaluation

  • All rules and risk limits must be respected at all times

Once the evaluation is completed, your account undergoes a full manual review by our Risk Team. If approved, you will be asked to pay the Activation Fee before your funded account is issued.

Risk Parameters

Max Daily Drawdown: None (Evaluation) / 3% (Funded Account)

There is no Max Daily Loss limit during the evaluation phase. You are free to manage your risk as you see fit, provided you stay within the trailing drawdown at all times.

On your funded account, the Max Daily Drawdown is 3% of your initial account balance.

The daily limit resets at 00:00 UTC. At reset, the system takes the higher of your balance or equity as the starting point for the new day. Your equity must not fall more than 3% from that value at any point during the trading day.

Example:

  • Initial balance: $100,000

  • Daily loss limit: $3,000

  • Equity must not fall below $97,000 at any point during the trading day

Maximum Total Drawdown: 5% (Trailing)

The maximum total drawdown is a 5% trailing limit based on your initial account balance. This applies during both the evaluation and funded stages.

  • The limit trails upward as your equity reaches new highs

  • It is calculated as your highest equity point minus 5% of your initial balance

  • It never moves downward

Example:

  • Initial balance: $100,000 - Max drawdown limit starts at $95,000

  • Equity reaches $110,000 - Max drawdown limit moves up to $104,500

  • Your equity must never fall below the current locked value at any time

Consistency Rule: 20% (Funded Account Only)

No single trading day may represent 20% or more of your total profit within a payout cycle. This rule does not breach the account - it delays payout eligibility until your profits are more evenly distributed.

Example:

  • Your best day: $1,000 profit

  • You must reach at least $5,000 in total profit before requesting a payout

Minimum Trading Days (Funded Account Only)

To be eligible for payouts on your funded account, you must complete 5 separate qualifying trading days, each with a minimum of 0.5% profit. These days do not need to be consecutive.

Capital Lock (Funded Account Only)

If your combined floating loss across all open positions reaches 2% of your account balance, Capital Lock will trigger and automatically close all open positions.

This is a soft breach - your account is not terminated and you may resume trading immediately.

  • First trigger: Profit split reduced to 50%

  • Second trigger: Funded account permanently terminated

For full details, see the Capital Lock article in this Help Centre.
