Bustle Staffing - Staff Member Setup

Set up staff members for use with the Bustle Staffing Add on (Shifts and Timesheets)

Using the Bustle Staffing add-on? Your Emoji Logins work a little differently.

If you do have Bustle Staffing - let's get those team members set up!!


Step 1: Setting Up Staff for Shifts and Timesheets.

  • Head to your Bustle Hub and go to Staffing > Staff Members.

  • Your main account login should already be set up with a three-emoji pin.

  • The buttons at the top switch everything on and off when you are ready to go. Get this all set up first, and then

    • Use the Enable Staff Logins button to toggle this feature on or off your tills .

    • Use the Enable clock in/out button to enable Shifts on your Bustle Tills - allowing staff to clock in/out and record their shifts.

  • Click New Staff Member:

    • Enter their first & last name.

    • Enable Till Access for staff members using the Bustle Till. Keep it off for those that don't (like your chefs).

      • Select three fun emojis for their login if enabled.

    • Fill in their wage cost fields.

  • For your security, keep this page away from prying eyes - i.e. don't log into the hub on your Bustle Till iPad with your boss account.

  • Press Submit when done.

  • Reopen the Staff member record and you will see some reports, as well as a button to Send Confirmation Email.

  • Send the confirmation - this comes into play for sending them Shifts (roster/rota) emails.


Step 2: Syncing the team members to Your iPad

Once your team is set up, and you have enabled Emoji Staff Logins and Clock in / out, grab your iPad(s) to complete the setup:

  1. Open the Bustle till app.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Press Sync Menu.

A login screen will now appear, ready for staff to use their emoji pins along with the Shifts button for clock in/ clock out.


Using Staff Logins

  • Staff simply tap or swipe their three emojis to log in. The emoji login screen automatically locks after every transaction or action, and after 60 seconds of inactivity.

  • Once an order or transaction is completed, the staff member’s initials will appear in history next to their actions. Tap on the initials to reveal the full name.

  • You’ll also see their name on:
    ✅ Order dockets
    ✅ Cash-ups
    ✅ The History screen in your Bustle Hub
