Create Pods or sub-teams within Marvin

Organize your team into pods to make sharing easier

What are Pods and why should you create them for your team?

Use Pods to create smaller groups or sub-teams within your Marvin team. You can use it organize your teammates and share projects with specific groups. For example, you might find it handy to create Pods for Sales, Marketing, GTM, Product, Design, etc.

A team can have multiple Pods. One user can belong to multiple Pods.

Only Admins can create or delete Pods.

Admins can add or remove users from any Pod. Full seat users can add or remove users from Pods they belong to.

Create a new pod

Open Settings from the left navigation menu and select Team.

When you select New pod, Marvin will immediately add new, untitled pod to the list.

Click on the name and edit it. Use a name that is easy for everyone to understand.

In case you need to delete a Pod, hover over it to see the three dots and open the menu, where you'll see options to rename or delete.

When you delete a Pod, you won't remove the members from your team. They'll simply no longer be part of that specific Pod.

Add users to a pod

Select All team members in the menu. Search for the team member you want to add to the new Pod. You can search by name or email, and view the results as a grid or a table.

Open the three dots menu and select Edit details.

Under Assign pods, you can add the user to a Pod or remove them from one* by checking or unchecking the boxes against each Pod. Click Save to continue.

*When you remove someone from a pod, they automatically lose access to projects shared with that pod.

You can also add someone to a pod when you invite them to join your team on Marvin.

The number in brackets next to each Pod name indicates how many members belong to it.

Share projects with your pod

You can easily share projects with your pod from the Projects page or from inside any project.

  • Look for the Share project icon.

  • Type the Pod name in the search bar.

  • Click Share.

  • Choose whether to notify Pod members via email about the project share.

Just click Unshare if you want to remove a Pod's access to a project.
