From time to time, you may see a brand’s earn rate edge up or down.
Two things can drive the change. First, earning rates are dynamic and will be optimised over time. We periodically review how a merchant is doing, adjust where needed to ensure the ecosystem stays strong, and still pass every cent of value back to you. These small, data-driven adjustments keep Max Miles healthy for the long term, and leaves headroom for future rate boosts when costs improve.
Second, we run promotions from time to time. A brand might jump to 8 Max Miles per dollar for a fortnight and then settle back to its regular 4 Max Miles per dollar rate, or a new partner may debut with a higher launch rate before sliding into a long-term base.
