This is a guide showing you what it looks like for the candidate when answering candidate questions set by yourself. At the bottom there is a button where you can download a PDF guide and send to candidates who are struggling with the upload process!
Technical Tips:
Your candidate can answer on both their laptop/desktop and mobile device.
Hinterview works with many of the major phone devices except Huawei.
Hinterview is compatible with Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera and the latest
version of Microsoft Edge.
Make sure to tell your candidate to leave the tab and app open right until the video has been processed.
If it takes too slow on their wi-fi cancel the upload and attempt to upload on 4G.
Ensure there are no other apps uploading or downloading in the background.
Step by Step:
If they have a pre-recorded video they would like to upload, they can only do this by using their Phone.
Desktop/Laptop:
Open the link sent by yourself and accept the terms and conditions.
Click on the Red Answer Question Box and a video screen will pop up where they are able to record your video. If they are not happy with the recording after they press stop recording, they can press record again!
Once they are happy with the video, press submit and wait for the orange pop up to say, ‘Thanks for your answer’.
Phone
If sent the link via LinkedIn, ensure that the link is opened on their browser and not inside the LinkedIn app.
Once the link opens, accept the terms and conditions.
Like on desktop/laptop click the red ‘Answer Question’ box. This should bring up 3 options where they can either record on camera, use a video from their photo gallery or upload a video from their files.
iPhone Android
Once they have started the upload make sure the video gets to 100% and the orange pop up says ‘Thanks for your answer’
