In some cases you may need to edit the required references for a candidate:

  • If the candidate advises that they are unable to provide certain references

  • If you'd like to request some specific references for a specific candidate that isn't set for all other candidates in that job

To edit the required references for a candidate:

  1. Locate the candidate you wish to update the required references for from the Candidates page by using the search bar and selecting the candidate from the list:

  2. Select the 3-dot option button in the top right corner of the screen and select the Update required references option:

  3. A pop up message will appear showing you the existing reference types that are set. From this screen you can:

    1. Remove existing references using the X button next to a reference type

    2. Edit the Alias for each reference for an existing reference

    3. Edit the type of reference for an existing reference

    4. Add more references using the +Add a reference button

  4. A green confirmation message will appear at the bottom of the screen:

  5. If the status of the candidate was Complete and more reference requirements were added, this will change the candidate status to In Progress until they've invited the additional references and the references have completed the survey.
