How to enable the Slack integration with HiPeople

All notifications for users are distributed via email. If you want to move from email to Slack for HiPeople notifications, you can do this with our HiPeople Slack app.

Enable the HiPeople Slack app

  1. Navigate to your Organisation settings (top left corner of any HiPeople screen)

  2. Scroll down to the Slack Workspace section and click the green Add to Slack button

  3. Afterwards you will be redirected to Slack to authenticate HiPeople as an app for your organization within Slack.

4. From that point on all users can find the HiPeople app in their Slack app directory and install it.

Connect Slack with HiPeople

Once, your admin has enabled the integration, see the following steps.

  1. In Slack, navigate to the Apps screen, search for HiPeople and select it from the search results:

2. Open the HiPeople app (You will see the app home page "Welcome to HiPeople, Name!")

3. Click "Connect your HiPeople account" (You will be briefly redirected to the dashboard, then back to Slack)

4. Done! ✅

Once the integration is enabled you get a message from the HiPeople Slack bot, and on the HiPeople Slack App home page, you will see "You have successfully connected" and a list of your recent active jobs.

Onwards, all HiPeople updates will be sent directly to you in Slack.
