Video Questions
If you run into issues recording/uploading a response to a video question when completing a HiPeople Assessment, please try the below troubleshooting steps first.
Camera & Microphone permissions
You need to enable your browser permissions to allow HiPeople to access your device camera & microphone in order to record the video.
Instructions on how to do this for common web browsers can be found below:
Once you've enabled the camera & mic permissions, you will need to refresh the HiPeople tab/webpage and try to record the video again
iOS Google Chrome issues
Some iOS devices have hardware compatibility issues with Google Chrome. If using an iOS device, it's best to use Safari when completing an Assessment that has a Video Question.
Device issues
Some devices might not be sufficiently powerful to complete the video question or might lack hardware (such as a web camera or microphone) to complete the question.
If this is the case, please try completing the Assessment on an alternative device.
Browser issues
If you're having issues completing the video question, a simple fix may be to try using a different web browser or by using the Incognito/Private browsing option on your existing browser. This can help overcome any issues with compatibility or old cache that might be causing loading issues.
Network issues
Uploading a video question requires a stable and strong network connection and using a slow or unstable network may result in upload errors.
If that's the case, please try using an alternative internet connection and try uploading the response again.
Other issues
If you're still having issues after trying all of the above steps, or if your issue doesn't fall into the above categories, please record a video screen capture showing the issue/error that you're facing and send it to us by pressing the ππ emoji below which will let you start a help ticket.
