How and Why to Clear your Web Browser's Cache

Clearing your cache and cookies can help to fix problems like loading or formatting issues on sites.

In Chrome: 

1. On your computer, open Chrome.

2. At the top right, click More .


3. Click More tools  Clear browsing data.


4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
6.Click Clear data.

In Internet Explorer:

1. Select Tools (using the Cog/Gear icon) > Safety > Delete browsing history...

2. Make sure to uncheck Preserve Favourites website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies then click Delete.

3. You will see a confirmation at the bottom of your screen which indicates you have successfully cleared your cache and cookies.

In case the above didn't work you can use in addition another method with thoroughly clears your cache:

1. Click on Tools and select Developer Tools.

2. In the Developer Tools window, click on Cache and select Clear Browser Cache...

3. Click Yes to confirm the clearing of the browser cache.

In Microsoft Edge:

  1. Click on the 3 dots on the right-upper hand side:

  2. At the drop-down bar, click on 'Settings':

  3. Choose Privacy, Search, and services:

  4. Click on 'Choose What to Clear":

  5. Make sure all the check-boxes are marked, and click 'Clear Now':
