What Is The New “Diversity Blueprint” Feature?

Diversity Blueprint enables you to proactively evaluate the diversity of potential candidates (qualified leads) who have been recommended for your open requisitions via Dynamic Fetch.

Gain visibility into how adjusting specific filters/parameters in Dynamic Fetch (for example years of experience or education) impacts the diversity of the pool of leads available for you to review.

Use the Diversity Blueprint tool to align with your company’s internal D&I aspirations.

For example, if you went remote, it could be easier to find females to progress, or if you dropped years of experience by two years, it could be easier to find underrepresented ethnicities.

Our data lab, analyzing over 500 million hiring decisions, revealed that 45% of requisitions could be more inclusive if req qualifications were expressed differently.

How Do I Use Diversity Blueprint?

  1. Select a requisition on the “My Reqs” page or the HiredScore HomeScreen. Next, choose the “Leads” tab and then “Dynamic Fetch.”

  2. The filters are pre-filled based on the req requirements specified in the job description. The initial list of leads recommended in Dynamic Fetch are resurfaced based on the posted requirements.

  3. Select the diversity icon to open Diversity Blueprint, with the option of changing your filters to optimize towards a more diverse pool of potential applicants.

4. You will be able to see the number of leads in your company’s database who align with the posted req requirements. Review the projected diversity breakdown of the initial lead pool resurfaced (based on those requirements).

5. Adjust the filters to create an updated shortlist of leads who align with your new req requirements and the updated search parameters. The diversity breakdown in the panel will update and show you how these adjustments have impacted the diversity breakdown and your ability to achieve your diversity aspirations. The up/down arrows indicate how the volume of underrepresented candidates in the req have changed compared to the initial settings.

6. In addition to manually changing the filters, you can also use the “Adjust Diversity” button. This will trigger automatic updates to the req requirements, helping you quickly and easily optimize towards a more diverse pool of leads (increasing the volume of underrepresented leads).

7. The parameters/filters which were adjusted automatically will be clearly marked with a label that says “Changed”, and there will also be a summary of the changes made available in the panel.

8. If there is no optimal way for HS to adjust the diversity of leads, the “adjust diversity” button will be greyed out and you will see the following message. If no adjustment is available, this will be true throughout the life of the req (unless changes are made to the req description).

9. After either manually adjusting the filters or choosing the automatic “adjust diversity” option, you can review the impact of the changes and decide if you want to make further adjustments to the req requirements in line with company policy.
