What are HiredScore Grades?

HiredScore grades applicants in Spotlight and Pending Actions.

Grades are assigned to candidates based on how well a candidate’s resume aligns with the req requirements posted in the Job Description.

Grades and Candidate Prioritization

When you have a large volume of applicants to review, you can use the HiredScore grade column to prioritize your applicant list based on each candidate’s relevance to the requisition requirements.

Sort the grade column from top to bottom and screen the candidate at the top of the list first - their CV is the best fit for the role based on the qualifications, experience, and skills specified in the Job Description.

Candidate Prioritization and Interview Rates

There is a clear correlation between candidates assigned the top grades (A&B) and their likelihood of reaching the interview step (in comparison to screening candidates sorted by alphabetical order or date of application).

Interview Rate Comparison:

HiredScore Grades vs. Date of Application / Alphabetical Order

A&B applicants will meet or exceed your req requirements, however C&D candidates could still be a great fit for the role - they are simply missing some skills or experience that you’ve posted in the Job Description.

For example: You posted a requisition looking for an Engineer with 10 years of experience and a masters degree. After reviewing the A&B candidates (who meet/exceed the requirements in the job description) you screen a C candidate with 8 years experience and a Bachelor’s degree that you believe will be an even better fit for the role then the A&B candidates! Whilst the grades provide an excellent guideline of which applicant to screen first, it’s up to you to decide who to hire and what requirements may be flexible!

Candidates may not be graded in Spotlight or Pending Actions if:

  • The applicant did not submit a CV with their application

  • The applicant submitted a CV in a format that HiredScore does not support

  • There is no Job Description for the requisition

  • You are reviewing candidates in a campus/graduate requisition
