If you want to annotate objects in your Hololink AR experience, you can use our standard annotation. But in some cases you want to create annotation that has a design that is made specifically for your project.

This is easy to do, by using an annotation created as an image (jpg or png) in for example inDesign, Photoshop or whatever software you prefer.

Once you have created an annotation, in this case, it is a simple png with the text "This is an apple", you add it to the Hololink by clicking on the image library button

and then clicking the '+upload image file' button in the library, and choosing your file on your computer.

Then move the image into a good position by using the "gizmo":

The last thing you need to do, is to set the annotation image to use 'Billboard mode'. This makes the image always face toward the user, so that the annotation is always visible.

And that's it. You now know how to create a custom annotation in Hololink.
