Create Immersive and Interactive Surface Tracking Experiences

With the advanced surface tracking feature, you can add one or more 3D objects, videos and/or images to a scene, and let your users control animations, video-playback and more.

From Basic to Advanced - There are Lots of Possibilities

You can create anything, from a simple experience, showcasing a single product, to complex scenes with many objects that users can walk between and toggle on and off, to watch videos, run animations and hear audio.

You can even create portals into virtual worlds, letting your audience enter through the portal to visit museums, historical places or fictional places, containing anything from art to storytelling or learning experiences.

Setting up a Basic Advanced Tracking Hololink

Starting with a very simple version, all you really need is a 3D model. You can use one from our standard library and then simply follow these steps:

  1. Click on Create New Hololink.

  2. Give your Hololink a name.

  3. Choose Advanced Surface Tracking as your scene type.

  4. Open the 3D library.

  5. Click on a model to add it to the scene.

  6. You can move and rotate the 3D model with the red, blue and green gizmo.

  7. You can resize the 3D model using the controls in the right hand side bar.

  8. Now click on the preview icon at the top right of the screen.

  9. Scan the QR code on your screen with your phone to see the Hololink.

Making Use of the Advanced Features

The next step is to create som advanced interactions, that allow your users to make the Hololink come alive.
