Ensure that your location settings within the app are turned on and accurate. Additionally, confirm that your notification settings are set to "loud".

How to activate push notifications on IOS

  1. Open Settings; open the "Settings" app on your iOS device. This app typically has a gearwheel icon.

  2. Scroll Down and Find "Notifications"; scroll down the Settings menu and look for the "Notifications" option. Tap on it.

  3. Select the App; in the "Notifications" menu, you will see a list of all the apps installed on your device. Scroll through the list and select the app for which you want to enable push notifications.

  4. Enable Notifications; once you've selected the app, you'll see the notification settings for that app. Here, you can toggle on the "Allow Notifications" switch. This will enable push notifications for this specific app.

Notification Grouping (iOS 12 and later)

  1. If you're using iOS 12 or later, you can group notifications by app. You can access this feature by tapping on "Notification Grouping" and selecting the preferred option.

  2. Badge App Icon; You can also enable or disable the badge app icon, which is the red number that appears on the app's icon to indicate unread notifications.

  3. Sounds (Optional); You can customize the notification sound for this app by tapping on "Sounds." Choose a sound from the list or select "None" if you don't want a sound.

  4. Alert Style; You can choose between "Banners" and "Alerts" as the style for how notifications appear on your device.

  5. Priority; If available, you can set the priority level for the app's notifications.

  6. Exit Settings; Once you've configured the notification settings for the app to your liking, exit the Settings app.

How to activate push notifications on android

Method 1: Using App Settings

  1. Open Settings; Open the "Settings" app on your Android device. This app is usually represented by a gearwheel icon.

  2. Apps & Notifications; Scroll down and look for the "Apps" or "Apps & Notifications" option, which may vary depending on your Android version and device.

  3. Select the App; In the list of apps installed on your device, find the app for which you want to enable push notifications and tap on it.

  4. App Notifications; Within the app's settings, you'll usually find an "App Notifications" section. Tap on it.

  5. Enable Notifications; Ensure that notifications are enabled for this app. There should be a toggle switch or an option to enable notifications for that app. Toggle it on to activate push notifications.

  6. Exit Settings; Once you've configured the notification settings for the app to your liking, exit the Settings app.

Method 2: Notification Channels (Android 8.0 Oreo and later):

For devices running Android 8.0 Oreo or later, notifications are managed through Notification Channels, which allows more fine-grained control over notification types.

  1. Follow steps 1 and 2 from the method above to navigate to the app settings.

  2. Instead of an "App Notifications" section, you may see "App Notifications" or "App Channels." Tap on it.

    1. Here, you can see and configure different notification channels that the app offers. These channels allow you to customize various types of notifications that the app provides (e.g., sound, vibration, importance).

  3. Select a specific channel (e.g., "Messages" or "Alerts") and make sure it is enabled. You can customize the notification behavior for each channel.

  4. Exit the settings once you've configured the notification channels as desired.
