🔧 How to Book a Maintenance Job on the Home+ App

Booking a maintenance job with Home+ is a simple process when you follow the steps below using our app:

  1. Open the Home+ app and log in using your email address and password.

  2. Before booking your job, ensure that your Bank Card is loaded and saved to your profile. Make sure there are sufficient funds available on the selected card as it is required for processing your job.

  3. On the home page, under “Book a Job” add your address in the top bar to narrow down your location and notify Heroes within a 50km radius of your home.

  4. Once you have added your address services available within your area will appear, you will be able to select the specific maintenance service you require, such as plumbing, handyman, or locksmith.

  5. A "Create a job" page will open with your address already filled in.

  6. Scroll down to the "Tasks" section, where a separate screen will appear allowing you to choose the specific task you need assistance with. For example, if you have a burst geyser, select "Burst geyser" from the list.

  7. Next, add relevant photos. On the "Photos" screen, capture or upload close-up photos of the issue and its surroundings to help our Hero understand your needs better.

  8. Provide a brief description of the problem in the "Description" section. For example, you can say, "My geyser has burst, and there is water overflowing in the drip tray."

  9. If necessary, suggest any specific tools required for the job. For instance, if the geyser is located in the roof and a ladder is needed, select "Short Ladder" from the tools section.

  10. Depending on the selected service, choose a suitable time for the Hero to visit your home. For immediate assistance, select "On Demand." Alternatively, you can schedule a time later in the day or on the following day.

  11. Review the Bank Card saved in your profile or change the preselected card if needed.

  12. At the bottom of the job screen, you will see the "Cost per hour" visually displayed. This represents the hourly rate charged by the tradesperson for the requested work. The final number of hours will be confirmed once the Hero arrives at your home to provide an official quote.

NOTE: After the Hero reviews the work at your home, you will have the option to accept or decline the quote. If you proceed with the repairs, you will be charged the quoted per hour rate and materials. However, if you choose to cancel the job, only a call-out fee will be charged, and not the per hour rate.

13. Once you are satisfied with the provided information, select "Submit Job Request."

Congratulations! Now you can relax and wait for one of our verified and vetted Heroes in your area to accept your job.
