We recommend using your biogas to cook on a gas stove because it's most efficient.
Biogas also has the potential to be used as a fuel source for cooking, heating, and lighting. This means that HomeBiogas can be used to power the following appliances, assuming that they are adapted for use with biogas:
Stove cook-top
Barbecue grill
Gas lamp
Keep in mind: appliances such as barbecue grills have higher energy demands than stove cook-tops do. Because of this, the running time and energy output of the barbecue grills will be more limited. For example, a full tank of biogas (700 liters) can power a stove cook top for about 3 hours, a 15,000 BTU barbecue/grill for 1 hour, and a 20,000 BTU grill for 1 hour, but only at 75% of the grill's maximum heat.
When Not To Use Biogas
The biogas produced by HomeBiogas is not suitable for the following:
Heating water for a shower
Heating for a green house
Heating for a house
Electricity generation
If you have any more questions about whether or not a specific appliance can be adapted for use with biogas, feel free to email: support@homebiogas.com.
