L-Shaped Sectional
Assembly Instructions
Homebody sofas and sectionals are fully modular and pieces come in individual boxes. To begin assembly, start by opening each box and ensuring all pieces have arrived.
Not sure which pieces you should have? Check out What’s in Each Box?
Step 1: Screw in the feet onto the bottom of the arms and bottom of each seat. There are two feet per arm and four feet per seat base.
Pro tip: For seats that don’t recline, there are 2 options to screw your feet in. Choose based on your preference
Step 2: Arrange seat bases into your preferred configuration. Connect the seat bases with the supplied U-clamps. Only one U-clamp is needed to connect two seats.
Step 3 (A): For non-reclining seats: Slide the arms in from the top by inserting the metal connector into the seat base slot, then the backs into the seat bases. Secure the back and arm in place with the L-shaped stabilizers.
Step 3 (B): For reclining seats: Attach back by inserting into recliner base, ensuring the zippered side is facing the front of the seat. Zip the back onto the base. Slide the arms in from the top by inserting the metal connector into the seat base slot.
Step 4 (A): For non-reclining seats: place headrests on back of seats, ensuring the triangular wedge is facing seat side.
Step 4 (B): For reclining seats: insert headrests into the backs, with the remote pocket on the same side as the seat remote controls.
Pro tip: If you are facing the couch the pocket should be on the left side.
Step 5: Place seat cushions onto bases followed by back cushions. Note that our seat cushions are dual sided, meaning one side is firmer than the other.
Step 6: Practice moving the recliner headrest up and down for optimal height. You can also adjust the angle by pulling the headrest towards you or quickly pulling it down to spring it back to its original position.
Step 7: For reclining seats, connect the power adapter to your couch and into an outlet
Step 8: For reclining seats, Connect the remote to the recliner. Find the USB Type-C cord sticking out of the right side of the seat and plug that into the remote. Allow remote to charge for an hour before using.
Step 9: For L shape corner seats: Ensure all chairs on the long side of the recliners face the same direction and the Homebody tag is on the bottom right corner.
Add the chair for the small side of the sectional to the desired side and align the back of the recliner to the arm of the corner chair
Put the U clamp on the slot of the base of the corner chair and put it over the base of the recliner without aligning it with the bracket clasp.
Pro tip: The two recliners connected to the corner chair cannot recline at the same time
