Organizer: How do I set up a school fee and enable Donations?

How to add a school convenience fee and enable optional donation collection at checkout.

Some schools use enrichment clubs as a way to fundraise for their Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Additionally, you can ask families to voluntarily add a donation. Homeroom can help you seamlessly collect both.

Setting Up a School Fee

Click on Setup in the left-hand navigation and go to the payment tools tab. Scroll down to the Then click the edit icon in the top right-hand corner to add the school fee. You will see a sample course breakdown based on the fee that was added. Click Save Changes.

Enabling Donations

To turn on donations, scroll down to the bottom of the Payment Tools screen and click the edit icon in the top right-hand corner to enable donations. You will also be able to enter your Tax ID, donation text for families, receipt donation text, and charity name in this section.

Note: In order to collect any funds, you will need to set up a Stripe account.
