Families: How to Update Your Payment Method

How to remove an outdated card and add a new credit card or bank account, plus what happens if a payment needs to be retried.

If your credit card on file has expired or changed, you can update it in Homeroom in a few steps. You can also add a bank account as a payment method.

Remove an outdated card

  1. Log in to Homeroom.

  2. In the left navigation bar, click Payment.

  3. Find the card you want to remove.

  4. Click the trash icon next to it. The card is removed immediately.

Add a new payment method

  1. On the Payment page, click Add a credit card and enter your new card details. Or click Add a bank account to pay directly from your bank instead.

  2. Save your new payment method.

If you have an outstanding payment

If a payment failed because your card number changed, Homeroom will automatically retry the charge after about 24 hours. You will receive a confirmation once it goes through.
