Why one parent gets everything
When Homeroom syncs with your SIS, the first parent or guardian listed on a child's record in the SIS becomes the default contact in Homeroom. That default contact receives all notifications for that child. Anyone added after them is listed as an additional contact and does not receive notifications until you turn them on.
If notifications are going to the wrong person, or you want more than one person to receive them, you can change this from the Contacts page.
Change who receives notifications
Log in to homeroom.com.
Click People in the left menu.
Click Contacts. You will see every parent and guardian on the child's record.
Find the parent or guardian you want to update and look at the Notifications field.
Click the pencil icon next to the Notifications field.
Select the notification types that person should receive, then save.
Repeat for each parent or guardian who needs notifications. You can set different notification types for different people on the same child, so one parent can receive everything and another can receive messages only.
