Honeit simplifies the process of automatically scheduling calls. By connecting your Google or Outlook calendar to Honeit, you can ensure candidates only see your available time slots. This prevents scheduling conflicts with existing meetings or events, making your scheduling seamless and stress-free.
Here's how:
Navigate to the "Scheduling" tab
Click on "Scheduling & Calendar"
Click "Connect Calendar"
Follow the steps to connect your Google or Outlook calendars
Granting permission
When you connect a calendar, Google or Outlook will ask you to give Honeit permission to access it. Follow the prompts and approve each step. Honeit needs read and write access so it can check your availability and add, update or cancel scheduled calls on your calendar.
**If you are on Outlook and you see a message that admin approval is required, your IT administrator needs to approve the sync before you can continue. Send them our Outlook Permissions Guide, which includes documentation you can share with your IT team.
Here's a quick video tutorial:
Connect multiple calendars
If you recruit across multiple clients or teams, your availability probably lives in more than one place. An embedded recruiter might keep a client calendar alongside their own work calendar, or a personal calendar they block time on.
You can connect up to three account calendars, and up to five calendars in total once workspace calendars are included. Google and Outlook can be mixed.
To add another, return to Scheduling & Calendar and click "Add calendar." The counter next to "Calendars" shows how many you have connected out of five.
Honeit checks every connected calendar for conflicts, workspace calendars included, so a candidate will never be offered a time slot when you are already booked on any of them.
Account calendars and workspace calendars
Connected calendars appear in two groups:
Account calendars are the ones you connect here, up to three.
Workspace calendars are connected separately, from the workspace profiles page. Calls booked under a workspace are added to that workspace's calendar. If a workspace has no calendar connected, those calls are added to your default calendar instead. See connecting a calendar to a workspace for the full details.
Choose where your Honeit events are added
Honeit checks all of your connected calendars for conflicts, but each scheduled call is added to one calendar only.
Calls booked through your scheduling link or your projects are added to the account calendar marked "Events will be added to this calendar only." To use a different one, click "Set as calendar to add events" next to that calendar.
Calls booked under a workspace follow that workspace's calendar instead.
Set your timezone
Your timezone is shown at the top of the Scheduling & Calendar page. Click "edit" to change it. Availability and scheduled calls follow this setting, so it is worth confirming it is correct before you share your scheduling link.
Remove a calendar
Click the trash icon next to any connected calendar to disconnect it. Honeit will stop checking that calendar for conflicts. If you remove the calendar that events are added to, set another one as the calendar to add events.
