Adding and removing team members

Invite your team members to collaborate on projects in HoneyBook

Updated over a week ago

When you invite your team to join your HoneyBook account, you can share workspaces, assign projects, collaborate, and more. And if there's ever a need to remove someone from your HoneyBook account, that's easy to do, too.

📣 Note

This article references accounts with multiple team members, available for HoneyBook’s Essentials and Premium plan members. Learn more about the features included in each plan here.

Adding team members

1.  From any page, click your profile photo in the top right corner of your screen.

2.  Select Company Settings from the menu.

3.  Select the Team tab.

4.  Click the Invite button.

5.  Enter in your team member's work email, full name, and select the appropriate role.

6.  Enter additional contact information if desired.

7.  Click the Invite button.

Your colleague will receive an email invitation to your team, prompting them to head to HoneyBook, set their password, and complete their profile!

Having trouble adding a team member? It could be that they already have a HoneyBook membership under the email address entered. Consider adding them under an alternative email.

Have a team member from one company that you need to add to a second company on the same account? In that case, you can easily add that team member yourself! Just switch to the appropriate company and head to the Team tab to add a new member.

Note

Need to give your bookkeeper secure access to your financial and reporting information? Here's how.

Removing team members

1. Head back to your Team tab.

2. Click the trash can icon next to the team member you'd like to remove.

3. Click Confirm.

Once you've removed a team member, they will, of course, no longer have access to any elements of your company HoneyBook account. All projects/workspaces, files, and sessions will be automatically reassigned to company owner, who can reassign them out to other team members if necessary.
