Sending an email via mobile app

How to email your clients on the iOS or Android app

Updated over a week ago

In order to help you keep everything in one place, HoneyBook allows you to email your clients directly through a HoneyBook project (instead of needing to bounce between us and your email)—and you can do so through the iOS and Android app as well! You can even attach images, PDFs, or supported HoneyBook files to your messages.

📚 Tip

Emails you send through a projects will go to all participants associated with that particular workspace.

Send an email via iOS or Android

1.  Find or create the project that requires an email or file to be sent, as both emails and files need to be associated with existing projects.

  • Find a project: search via the search icon at the top of your app's Home screen (pipeline view), or locate the project from the project list in your pipeline.

  • Create a project: learn how here!

2.  Once in the project, you can send an email in a few different ways. You can:

  • Tap the Send Email button at the bottom of the screen to create a new email

  • From the Activity tab, tap Reply on any email, which will keep the same subject line and create an email thread

PLEASE NOTE: For email threading functionality, make sure you have your email integration set up!

3.  If starting a new email, enter your email subject line.

📣 Note

If you've chosen to reply to an existing email, changing the subject line will discontinue the existing email thread, as threaded emails need to have the same subject line. Changing the subject line at this stage will, in effect, create a new email instead.

4.  Enter the body of your email. You can:

  • Create a new message by tapping the empty email body field to display your keyboard and formatting bar, then entering your email text.

  • Select the Templates menu at the top of the screen to choose from your existing email Templates.

📣 Note

If you've chosen to reply to an existing email, selecting an email template will overwrite the original subject line, which will discontinue the existing email thread.

6.  When you’re ready, tap Send.
