Understanding HoneyBook Reports

Breaking down what's available in the Reports section

Updated over a week ago

HoneyBook's Reports page provides you with an overview of your bookings, financial analytics, and leads. Below, we'll walk you through the different reports on this page, guiding you through what all the numbers mean.

📣 Note

If you have multiple companies in HoneyBook, your Reports page will show insights for projects and files created in the company you are currently under.

Only the account owner will have a full view of Reports. Team members will only see information in this tab for projects they created.

To get to your Reports, click the Tools tab in your top navigation bar and select Reports.

Reports and insights

📣 Note

Only super admin team members and account owners are able to download reports.

From this section, click Go to Reports to customize and download pre-set CSV reports containing additional insights.

Monthly sales report

The bar graph here reflects your booked files or revenue, month after month, for the chosen calendar year.

From the drop-down areas, select the calendar year and whether you'd like to see insights for booked files or booked revenue.

You'll also see values for:

  • Gross booked amount: The total expected payments, both paid and scheduled for the future, on booked files within the selected timeframe

  • Files booked: The total number of files in which a contract has been signed and/or a payment made within the selected timeframe

Booked vs. sent files

The bar graph here reflects the number of files you sent, and the number of files you sent that were booked, within each month. This section can be modified to display monthly insights for any given calendar year.

📚 Tip

A file is considered booked if a contract has been signed and/or a payment made.

You’ll also see a value for:

  • Booking rate: The % of files booked out of the total number of files sent within the selected timeframe

Project bookings

This section shows financial insights for all booked projects that have a project date within the selected date range.

📚 Tip

A file is considered booked if a contract has been signed and/or a payment made.

Lead generation from contact forms

📣 Note

Lead reports are available for Essentials and Premium plan members. Learn more about the features included in each plan here.

These reports show data only for projects that were created via HoneyBook contact form.

Distribution

This graph gives you a breakdown of where your leads have come in from, based on the lead sources you've set in your Company Settings. This section can be modified to display a specific date range.

Value

This report breaks down the average value of all booked projects from each lead source. This section can be modified to display a specific date range.

The date range selected will show data for projects/leads that were created within that date range (rather than the project date).

Conversion

This report details what percentage of leads from a particular lead source have been booked (contract signed and/or payment made). For example, if you received two leads from Google within a certain date range and only one has made a payment, the Google bar of the graph will display a 50% conversion rate for that lead source.

The date range selected will show data for projects/leads that were created within that date range (rather than using the project date or the date the first payment was made).

Time-to-Book

This report provides the average number of days between when a lead is created via the contact form and when the project is booked (contract signed and/or payment made), broken down by lead source. Since the lowest values are the "best" lead sources with the shortest time to booking, you'll see the bars grow from left to right in this graph!

The date range selected will show data for projects/leads that were created within that date range (rather than using the project date or the date the payment was made).
