Requesting extra charges for a job has never been easier! You can follow the steps below for instructions on how to do it through the app while you are on an active job, upon job completion, or within 2 hours after job is complete.

For dispatchers or those who are unable to do so through their app, you can also request extra charges directly through your computer by visiting HONKrequest.com

When can extra charges be applied? Extra charges only applies when you arrive on the scene and its determined that additional services, equipment or labor is required to complete the job. Refer to HONK Partner Policies for more details and specific service fee amounts. Some extra charges require you to record and submit a brief video of the disablement scene and reason for usage.

Step 1: Click the "Support & Operator Status" button

When you are on an active job, you can access the portal to request additional charges by clicking on "Support & Operator Status" button located at the bottom of your screen.

Step 2: Click the "Extra Charges" button

On the "update status" page you will see a button labeled "Extra Charges." By clicking this button you'll be directed to the following page where you can request extra charges for this specific job.

Step 3: Requesting additional charges

On this page you'll notice the reference number on the top of the page. You'll then be able to identify what you need an extra charge for.  Just click on the additional service you performed and follow the on-screen prompts.

NOTE: For extra charges video (if required), you don't need to video yourself actually performing the additional services, it's just a snapshot of you showing the situation and verbally describing the reason extra charges are needed to complete that job.

Here’s an example - you are originally dispatched for a lockout - you arrive on scene and after you get the customer back into the vehicle, their car will not start. You now need to perform a jump start. Take a quick 5 - 10 second video showing your charging device connected to the car battery. It’s always helpful if you verbally describe why you need to provide the additional service while taking the video. If you are in an unsafe location (on the side of a busy highway), submit your extra charges request after you complete the job and in a safe location, just describe that situation in the video.

Step 4: The extra charges review process

All requests for extra charges are reviewed by our Towing & Roadside Team, an experienced group of WreckMaster Certified former towing professionals with decades of experience in this industry. You will be notified within 24 to 48 hours of the status of your request.
