What is wrap-up time?

Wrap-up time is the time it would take for your dispatcher or operator to leave their current location or conclude an in-process job to then be dispatched to the new HONK job they were just alerted of.

When do you select wrap-up time?

When you receive an alert for a HONK job you will be able to dispatch yourself (if you are set up as a dispatcher) or dispatch one of your operators. Once you select an operator to be dispatched within the HONK app you will be presented with a second screen where you get to indicate how long it will take for that operator to be dispatched for the job.

The drive time + the "wrap-up" time = the ETA.

For example, if the time that it will take your operator to get to a customer is 20 minutes and the time it will take for that operator to leave once dispatched (their wrap-up time) is 15 minutes, then your ETA for that job will be 35 minutes.

If the operator could leave immediately and your wrap-up time is 0 minutes, the ETA would be 20 minutes.

Can't I just put 0 minutes every time to ensure that I have the fastest ETA and get dispatched?

It is important to be as accurate as possible with your wrap up time. If you put a fast wrap up time to decrease your ETA but then end up being late, this will not only provide the customer with an unrealistic ETA, it will hurt your standing within HONK's system because your company will have been late to arrive on scene.

It is incredibly important that you are as accurate as possible with your wrap-up time as arriving late consistently could see your company temporarily disabled from receiving HONK jobs or possibly removed if lateness continues.
