Updated over 3 months ago

Syncing Data

Data Sync in Hook is the ability to set up a sync between fields on Hook accounts and account data in your CRM. Any time this field is updated in Hook, it will automatically be updated in your CRM. This enables teams to see helpful information from Hook while working in their CRM, such as Hook’s Engagement Level for each account.

Most Popular Data Syncs

Here are the most popular Data Syncs customers set up between Hook and their CRM, and how to ensure fields in your CRM are configured correctly to support this.

  1. Add a new field to the account object in your CRM that has the same data type as the corresponding Hook field. See the table below. If the Hook field data type is a picklist, make sure the values are exactly the same as the Hook field data values. These values are case sensitive.

  2. Allow the Hook integration user to have read permissions for this new field. This is the user that has authenticated the connection between Hook and your CRM.

  3. Follow the steps in Add a Data Sync, using your new CRM field as the Destination field.

  4. Make sure to activate the data sync.
