Subscribing through Hooked & Co. vs. the App stores

What is the difference between purchasing through the App store or your site?

There are two ways to subscribe to our program:

A) Complete your purchase online via the Hooked & Company Shop or social media advertisement.

B) Install the App on your digital device and subscribe through the App Store on the device itself. This option will not automatically include the hands-on materials we send through the mail.

Subscription Management

Wherever your subscription originates is where it must be managed going forward; i.e., if you subscribe through your app store, you'll also need to cancel your subscription in your app store, as your business relationship is with your app store- not Hooked & Company. If you subscribe via the web, you can manage your subscription 24/7 by logging into Your Dashboard. To make changes, log in, navigate to the subscriptions section, and you can update, cancel, or manage the details of any subscriptions directly through the interface. If your subscription was initiated through the App Store, it cannot be managed here.

Managing Subscriptions Through Google Play Store

To manage your Google Play Store subscriptions:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app on your device.

  2. Access your profile and go to the "Subscriptions" section.

  3. Locate your Hooked on Phonics subscription.

  4. Select Cancel Subscription if you wish to stop future payments. Licensing and app access are handled by the Google Play Store, meaning Hooked & Company cannot process cancellations directly for these subscriptions.

Managing Subscriptions Through Apple App Store

For subscriptions initiated through the Apple App Store:

  1. Open the Apple App Store app on your device.

  2. Go to your profile and find the Subscriptions menu.

  3. Identify your Hooked on Phonics subscription and make modifications or cancel it as needed. Apple controls billing, and all related changes must be done via the App Store. Hooked & Company cannot intervene in managing App Store subscriptions.

Managing Direct Purchases Through Hooked & Company

If you subscribed directly through Hooked & Company’s platform:

  • Log in to your Hooked & Company dashboard.

  • Access the subscriptions section to modify, upgrade, or cancel your plan.

  • Examples of actions include stopping Practice Pack shipments while retaining app access or adjusting shipment frequencies. Plan-specific details and charges can vary. Contact support or visit the dashboard for customization options.

NOTE: Our Dashboard does not store App-related data or learning content. Additionally, when visiting the website and signing in for the first time, you'll need to select First Time Login to create a password to access.

Important Notes on Support Limitations

  • Hooked & Company cannot cancel subscriptions initiated through Google Play or Apple App Stores.

  • Always refer to the platform used for the initial subscription for modifications or cancellations.
