How do I fully uninstall the App on an Apple or Android device?

Updated over a month ago

Even if you’ve removed the app from your home screen, some devices may still keep it in the cloud. These steps will help you make sure it’s fully removed:

For iOS (iPhone/iPad):

  1. Open the App Store.

  2. Tap your profile icon at the top right.

  3. Select Purchased > My Purchases.

  4. Find the app and swipe left to hide it (this removes it from your download history).

  5. To remove app data from iCloud, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups, then select your device and turn off the app’s backup, then tap Delete Data.

For Android:

  1. Open the Google Play Store.

  2. Tap your profile icon > Manage apps & device > Manage.

  3. Switch the filter to Not installed.

  4. Find the app and tap the X or select it and choose Remove to delete it from your library.

  5. To delete leftover data, go to Settings > Storage > Apps or Files and remove any remaining app data manually.
