What level should I choose?

Updated this week

Our App + Practice Pack curriculum spans Pre-K through 2nd grade level and is divided into two sections: Pre-reader (Pre-K), which introduces the alphabet and each letter sound, and Learn to Read (Kindergarten - 2nd), which blends the letters and their sounds into readable words. When placing your order, you will be asked to select your child's starting point so we can send the appropriate package according to their current skill level.

The curriculum is further broken down into specific learning steps that cater to children at various educational stages. These steps align with the following grade levels:

  • Pre-Reader Steps 1–12: Pre-K.

  • Learn to Read Steps 1–6: Kindergarten.

  • Learn to Read Steps 7–12: Transition from Kindergarten to 1st Grade.

  • Learn to Read Steps 13–18: 1st Grade.

  • Learn to Read Steps 19–30: 2nd Grade.

This structure ensures a gradual and effective progression of foundational skills from Pre-K through 2nd grade.

Trouble deciding because your child is in grade X, but they're struggling? If your child hasn't yet mastered all 26 letters of the alphabet and the sound each letter represents-- we'd recommend starting at the Pre-K level. If they've mastered the alphabet but are struggling with 3-5 letter words, start with Kindergarten. Your child will have a chance to review the fundamentals, build their confidence, and fill in any gaps along the way.

NOTE: You may adjust your child's level as needed in the App at any time, and adjust the hands-on materials later, if needed.
