Hoot offers a 3-day free trial so you can explore everything the app has to offer before choosing a plan. Here’s exactly how the trial and billing cycle work.

1. Your Free Trial Starts Immediately

As soon as you begin your free trial inside the app, you’ll have full access to all features for three days.

  • No restrictions

  • No hidden limits

  • No feature gating

  • No ads

Hoot wants you to try the real product—not a watered-down version.

2. When You’re Charged

You will only be charged after the 3-day trial ends, unless you cancel before the trial expires.

At the end of the trial:

  • If you chose the Monthly plan → you’re charged $9.99.

  • If you chose the Annual plan → you’re charged $39.99.

Billing is processed securely through the App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device.

3. How to Avoid Surprise Charges

If you decide Hoot isn’t right for you, simply cancel your subscription before the end of your trial period.

To cancel:

  • Open Settings on your device

  • Go to your App Store / Google Play subscription settings

  • Select Hoot and tap Cancel Subscription

Once canceled, your trial will continue until the full 3 days are complete, but you won’t be charged.

Important: Hoot cannot cancel through in-app chat or email—only the App Store or Google Play Store can modify or stop billing.

4. What Happens When the Trial Ends

If you do not cancel before the trial ends:

  • Your plan activates (Monthly or Annual)

  • Your billing cycle begins immediately

  • You get uninterrupted access to all features

  • Your renewal date resets based on the plan you selected

Renewal examples:

  • Monthly: billed every 30 days

  • Annual: billed once every 12 months

You can view your plan and next billing date anytime via:
Settings → Subscription

5. What Happens If You Delete the App

Deleting Hoot does not cancel your trial or subscription.
You must cancel through the App Store or Google Play to stop billing.

6. Switching Plans After Your Trial

You can switch from Monthly → Annual at any time. Your app store handles prorated amounts when applicable.

7. How to Restore Access

If you reinstall the app or switch devices, tap:
Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases

This reconnects your subscription to your Hoot account.

The Bottom Line

Your free trial is truly free. You’ll only be charged after the trial ends, and only if you don’t cancel. Hoot makes it easy to manage your subscription—you stay in full control at every step.
