If you purchased a Hoot subscription through the Apple App Store, refunds are handled directly by Apple. We don’t have the ability to issue or process refunds ourselves, but we’re happy to guide you through the process.

How to request a refund on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Settings on your device

  2. Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen

  3. Tap Subscriptions

  4. Select Hoot

  5. Tap Request a Refund and follow the on-screen steps

How to request a refund on the web

You can also request a refund directly from Apple online:

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com

  2. Sign in with your Apple ID

  3. Find your Hoot subscription

  4. Select Request a Refund and complete the form

What happens next?

  • Apple reviews refund requests individually

  • Decisions are usually made within a few days

  • Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method

  • You’ll receive a confirmation from Apple once a decision is made

A quick note about refunds

Refund approvals are determined by Apple and may depend on factors like how recently the subscription was purchased or renewed. While we can’t guarantee the outcome, Apple often approves requests made shortly after a charge.

If you’re unsure whether a refund is the right move, or if you’d like to explore other options (like extending your access or pausing your plan), feel free to reach out — we’re always happy to help.
