How to Connect Your Thermostat Account
Step 1: Verify Your Device is Supported
Before connecting your thermostat to Hospitable, you'll want to ensure that it's a supported make and model. You can check our list of supported thermostats here.
⚠️ Please note: For Honeywell devices, we do not support My Total Connect Comfort (TCC) apps. You will need to create an account with HoneyWell Home (rebranded as Resideo) or use First Alert App.
Step 2: Connect Your Account
Go to Devices → Thermostats → click on Connect a device account.
Press Continue, then select your thermostat brand to begin the integration process.
Continue through the connection process by authorizing the thermostat for use with Hospitable.
If you're connecting a Google Nest account, make sure to grant Hospitable access to all the devices you want to import.
Step 3: Match Your Thermostats to Your Properties
You'll see the names of your thermostats here to help you match. Select the properties where your thermostats are located.
If you have not customized the device name in your thermostat app, you may not be able to tell your devices apart. We suggest creating unique names in your thermostat app to make matching easy.
If connecting a thermostat to a parent/child property, make sure to match the device to both the parent and the child(ren).
If you connect the thermostat during a reservation, we won't switch to unoccupied at that check-out, as we haven't yet had a check-in to begin the syncing. The syncing will start on the next check-in.
Step 4: Customize Your Thermostat Presets
There are three preset modes: Occupied, Unoccupied, and Long-term Unoccupied. You can customize these to suit your needs, and make changes later by going to Devices > Thermostat presets.
You'll set up each of these individually in the setup flow.
Occupied Mode: Activated 2 hours before the guest's check-in time to begin warming or cooling the property to a comfortable preset temperature range. This mode will remain enabled during the entirety of the guest's reservation.
Unoccupied Mode: When a guest's reservation ends, the thermostat automatically switches to an energy-saving setting. This setting maintains moderate temperatures, reducing costs while keeping the property ready for quick reactivation.
Long-term Unoccupied Mode: If there are no reservations within the next two weeks, the thermostat will switch to a deeper energy-saving mode. Long-term Unoccupied Mode will automatically switch to Unoccupied Mode two days before a reservation to gradually prepare for the upcoming guest. Two hours before the upcoming reservation, Occupied Mode will then kick in. These automations efficiently bring the property to the ideal temperature and avoid a sudden energy surge.
Once you've set up all 3 presets, press Continue, then choose to View Dashboard or view Advanced Settings.
