Provably Fairness

Written by Kostas

Our provably fair system can be found on the top bar of the website or via this link: howl.gg/provably. Every game mode has its own provably fair and you can always check every game you played and verify the outcome.

Our website uses the Provably Fair algorithm to ensure verifiability, transparency, and equal randomness for all users. We prioritize honesty, and fairness, and guarantee the integrity of our system.

The Provably Fair algorithm relies on three parameters: Server Seed, Client Seed, and Nonce.

Results are determined prior to each game. You will receive an encrypted hash of the server seed, and the initial and final hash values will match, proving our website's non-interference with the results. The seed that is generated, cannot be changed.

HERE IS HOW IT WORKS

When a round is created, we generate our own server seed (a random string). This server seed is then hashed into SHA256 and publicly displayed in the game to be verified once the round has completed.

The server seed, client seed, and nonce are joined with a dash and referred to as a «mod». This «mod» is then used to generate the game results, as shown below.

To verify a round result, you can use our external tool.
